Proyecto Conectividad Troncal Sur Austral – Fibra Optical  Nacional

Proyecto Conectividad Troncal Sur Austral – Fibra Óptica Nacional (FON)Designed to support Austral Telecom SpA in expanding high-capacity regional backhaul and FTTH aggregation nodes across southern and coastal Chile, this rack-mount ODF platform delivers robust mechanical fiber protection, modular density, and low-loss distribution in demanding operational environments.

Core Engineering FeaturesHigh-Density 19" Modular Architecture (1U/2U/3U): Supports up to 24, 48, and 96 ports per chassis using interchangeable adapter plates compatible with SC/APC, SC/UPC, LC/APC Duplex, and LC Quad adapters to fit standard telecom central offices and outdoor shelter racks.

Integrated Splicing & Patching Sliding Trays: Smooth ball-bearing drawer slides pull out and tilt downwards at 30°, allowing field technicians to perform splicing, fiber routing, and adapter cleaning without disturbing adjacent live channels.

Bend Radius & Cable Management: Engineered radius control mandrels guarantee a continuous fiber bending radius 30mm throughout all internal pathways, eliminating macro-bending losses on G.652.D and G.657.A1/A2 single-mode runs.

Heavy-Duty Chassis & Grounding: Built from 1.5 mm cold-rolled steel (SPCC) with an electrostatic anti-corrosion powder coating, featuring dual cable entry clamps with central strength member (CSM) tie-downs and dedicated copper ground studs.

Value for Chilean Network Deployments Seismic and Mechanical Stability:

Rigid internal lock mechanisms and latching front panels resist mechanical shock and vibration, matching Chilean seismic design standards for central office equipment racks.

Optimized CIF San Antonio / Valparaíso Logistics: Available in pre-terminated factory-assembled kits (loaded with certified pigtails and adapters) or flat-packed shell configurations to minimize customs handling, ocean shipping volume (CBM), and on-site assembly time for regional installation crews.
